Mtm Thursday night, the 12th at McAllister

Hi everyone!
Hope this cloudy Sunday is good for you!

When i consider my life, i realize that i have so super much to be thankful for, and yet, many times, i find myself focusing on the things that aren't going right, the problems, the issues, the fears, the hurts, the wrongs, the insecurities - and before i know it, these are sucking away at my joy.

I hate it.

When i notice the wonder around me, the beauty of the world, the goodness of life and breath, how remarkable the gift of each moment is;  When i notice how amazing a God must be to create all this and to love so much to give such simple wonder;  When i notice how broken i have been and how much healing and good has come to my life; When i notice the bondage of my past and the freedom of my present, i begin to want to dance, to shout, to laugh, to run (except for an old arthritic knee), to share of this wonder of noticing with the people around me.  I begin to touch something More - something other than the usual of this messed up culture we live in.

This is what More than more is all about.

We are tired of the usual more of this world.  We seek after a God of More - we choose to notice - we choose to invite this God of wonder into the everyday moments of our lives and live lives of gratitude, noticing people and sharing of the goodness of life with them.  Daring to risk, to set aside the ease and comfort of our lives to care about someone else - to share of this goodness w them - and we choose to pursue this together, like a family that we choose.

More than more is always fun.  It always has some laughter and some goodness and some noticing.  More than more is always a place to hang w some people who can care about you just because - not because of what they can get from you.

We hope you will join us - there is fee, no requirement, no social class or norm, no age group, no dress code - we will gladly provide care for your kids - and we look forward to hanging out for a bit, hoping to help each other become.

 Thursday, the 12th of September, from 6:45-8:00pm, we will be gathering at McAllister recreation center, just off 20th and Schuyler ave, in Lafayette.  Hope to see you there!

We will be hanging out at McAllister tomorrow night, the 29th of August, 645-800pm, as our usual routine.

There will be, as always, lots of laughter and goodness, people who care just because, and free child care.

Outreach in Lafayette Next Thursday

Hey guys!

Next Thursday, the 15th of August, we will be having an outreach here in town.  We will be moving Barbie across town and so we need all the help we can get!!  Please plan to join us!  Kids are welcome but there will not be organized childcare.  The good news is that at the place she is moving from, there is a lot of room for kids to play and enjoy.

This time we will be gathering at the place she will be moving from:

It is Ty and Marcie's house.  To get there, go on us 231 toward Crawfordsville.  Turn right on 400S, drive down to the line of mailboxes and turn right on the long drive and go to where you see the trailer being loaded (or ready to be, depending on when you get there) - I types this into apple maps and got the right place:
1216 W 400 S, Lafayette

We will meet at 6:30pm and go from there.

We will be having Bruno's for dinner and enjoying time together.

Thursday night

hi everyone

wanted to remind you that this Thursday's Mtm will be an outreach to Remington - for this, we will leaving McAllister at 6pm and driving up together.  We will be doing yard work and some house repairs and scraping and prepping the porch for painting at some point in the future.  We need scrapers for the porch and yard equipment - like rakes and hand tools.  

This will be a social time, enjoying hanging out together as the list is shorter than last time and we will feed everyone, so plan to come, hangout enjoy each other - it will be a great time.

Hey everyone - hope you are enjoying the heat this summer!!  and if not, hope you are finding ways to stay cool!

Next wk, July 18th, Mtm will be hanging out at McAllister from 645-800 pm - our usual and it will be an amazing time - would love to hang w you!

In 3wks, August 1st, we will be having our 2nd outreach of the summer in Remington - just like last time, we will meet at McAllister at 6pm and drive to Remington together - dinner will be there.

We need all the hands we can get.

We will be needing things for landscape beds
scrapers for paint that is peeling
a couple ladders - 6-8ft

then on August 15th, we will be moving soon locally - it also will be an amazing time of hanging out together - we always have a great time and new people ae always always welcome

Hope to see you for all of these - it is good to be w people who like you not because of what they can get out of you or what they expect from you - they can just care bc you are...that is a part of what Mom is all about and we hope to see you...

no Mtm next Thursday - next is July 18

Hi guys - we will not be having Mtm next wk, bc of July 4th - hope you all have a great time w your families and friends celebrating our country!

The next time we gather will be 7/18/19 645-800pm at McAllister - hope to see you there!

Looking forward, we will be having another outreach August 1st, in Remington, unless something changes - more details to follow!
